Tackling the problem of cellulite

Cellulite

Cellulite has become one of the most hated female conditions in recent years especially amongst those who are generally slim; the affected areas are normally from the waist down. This is not a situation purely confined to those who carry excess weight; women who are naturally slim can also suffer with this unsightly problem.

The fats just below the skin surface push against the tissue which results in the skin surface having that dimpled look common of cellulite. Health experts have been trying to discover the cause for some time as it is not a condition that affects every woman but they believe it does have some connection to the way the fat cells are made and possibly how toxins enter and are stored within the body.

This problem usually comes naturally with aging and similar to wrinkles that form in the face, it is actually the result of lower levels of collagen and elastin in the skin. Whilst many would disagree, this condition is often referred to a hormone imbalance problem as men almost never have this happen to them.

Often the cellulite goes unnoticed and it is only when a person’s muscles are compressed or the skin is pinched that it can be seen and felt but women should not feel depressed about the problem as most suffer with it to a greater or lesser degree. After a great deal of research, certain conditions do help with the formation and retention of the fat cells; the age of the person, their gender, how thick their skin is and the amount of extra fat they carry, all play a part.

Despite research, science has no answers to the definitive cause which means that any manufacturer can make claims but how to rid people of the condition including creams to make it disappear. Some clinics specialize in the removal of cellulite simply apply deep massaging to puff up the skin and temporarily reduce the cellulites appearance.

Perhaps the most drastic therapy is liposuction where fat is literally sucked from the body or the more expensive procedure of injecting certain chemicals in a process called mesotherapy. However, these are only temporary measures so do not provide permanent relief and liposuction is really only efficient for deeper based fats and not those close to the surface as with cellulite.

For people who are prone to the problem, there are no magic treatments for selective removal but there are now a number of creams on the market which are designed to help hide the effect it brings. Many people believe that the only realistic way to reduce the amount of fatty tissue a person has is to follow a controlled diet plan and exercise regularly which will gradually burn off much of the body fat including that found in the tissues of the thighs and buttocks.

If this is also followed by the adoption of drinking plenty of fresh water every day; unwanted toxins which can help in the formation of cellulite in the tissue are gradually removed.

Hair Loss Treatment & Remedies

Hair Loss

Hair loss is a natural part of the body’s process of renewal. The list of all the possible causes is exceedingly long but it is a common problem that affects millions of men, women, and children. The medical term for hair loss is Alopecia. Male pattern hair loss is the most common form, representing close to 95 percent of all cases in men; and due to a hereditary condition: Androgenic Alopecia.

Moderate hair loss on the other hand which is obviously rarer may simply be a matter of adjusting your diet. The reason for your condition may be at your work place if you deal with chemicals or cosmetics but some others may as a consequence of personal situations such as stress, mental tension or a hormonal imbalance. No matter what the reason, it is worth remembering that it is only if the hair follicles are damaged that can make the condition permanent. Often considered as a purely male problem, in America women actually make up forty percent of people that suffer with some form of the condition.

Hair loss is in fact more common with women as they age but it is often caused by a thyroid problem. Although the number of women sufferers in the USA may seem high this figure equates around the world and by the time a woman reaches sixty, she has a forty percent chance of having a problem. Another period where women may suffer some hair loss that is not age related is during and after pregnancy. If you always thought that patterned hereditary baldness was a male problem then you will be surprised to learn that in America approximately 30 million women also suffer from this condition.

A relatively new treatment is to surgically restore hair for sufferers of permanent hair loss. Simply put, it is the transplantation of healthy hair follicles from one area of the scalp to another. Today hair transplant surgical hair restoration is an out-patient procedure requiring only local anesthesia and is becoming one of the most popular procedures for men today. It is now possible for women to have hair transplants like men and is becoming increasingly popular for those women keen to hide scars from previous facelift surgery.

It is important to try and keep your appearance as close as possible to your original when having hair transplant therapy and not try to look like someone else. A consideration before any hair transplant surgery is commenced is the physical and mental wellbeing of the recipient. Hair restoration therapy comes under the general umbrella of cosmetic surgery but aspects of it are completely different form other cosmetic treatments. Surgical hair transplant therapy might be your only solution if all other methods have failed despite the fact that discoveries in this field of hair loss continue to advance.
